Nature Canada recently launched Nature Explorers - a online community for kids to discover, connect and share their experiences with nature. I put together a hand-made collage vibe made up a pics, doodles and textures for their branding and site elements.
Sign up, take a pic of a antelope and share it with the world!
If you like uniformed monkey men, jealous robots and colossal afros then Sketchblog is for you! Better defined as the online publication of my expanding series of sketches and scribbles.
Hockey and The Kids in the Hall - I lived and breathed both when I was in high school. Years later I had the chance to combine these two things while creating tons of designs and illustrations for the KITH latest effort, Death Come to Town!
From character montages to logo designs to a full-on hockey rink you can check them all out at the show’s official site - www.cbc.ca/kidsinthehall
Thanks to Trevor Shaikin for hooking me up with a great gig!
BIGBOX SINGSONG is going to the New York International Children’s Film Festival! Our very own John (who may or may not be a leprechaun) was selected to screen during the Shorts for Tots program! If you are in NYC in the next few weeks and want to catch it check out the show times here.
In other BIGBOX SINGSONG news, Toes, Robot, Mustache and John all screened back in November as part of Kinofest 2009 in Bucharest, Romania!
It’s official. I have joined forces with composer, Adam Goddard under the moniker GODDARD/BROWN. We create fine audio/visual works for film, broadcast and world wide web. We have been honing our audio/visual kung fu together in our studio making animated goodness like BIGBOX SINGSONG.
Recently, I worked with documentary filmmaker, Liz Marshall, to create the opening title sequence and end credit sequence for her feature film and television documentary, Water on the Table. Here is a a little blurb about the film from the official website:
“Water On The Table is a character-driven social issue documentary by Liz Marshall featuring Maude Barlow, who is known as an “international water-warrior” for her crusade against the privatisation of water. The film asks the question: Is water a commercial good like running shoes or Coca-Cola? Or, is water a human right like air?”
As part of a special World Water Day Week on TVO, The View From Here will premier the broadcast hour of Water On The Table Wednesday March 24, 2010 at 10 pm.
Last year, I worked with Secret Location to create a series of hand-drawn and very tongue-in-cheek icons and character illustrations for totallyadd.com.
